Celebrating the Contributions of Volunteers

Last night, we had the pleasure of attending the Jeffersonville Rotary's Gold Leaf celebration. This event gives local non-profits the opportunity to celebrate the contributions of the many people in our community who put "Service Above Self".

At the event, we honored current Rauch Foundation Board President Dennis Ott. Denny has been involved with Rauch for 10 years. He is a dedicated participant in and sponsor of agency events like the Imagine Awards and golf scramble, and always brings his trademark smile. We can count on him to stay after the fun is over and help clean up, put things away, and drive us to our cars if it's dark. And best of all, we can count on him for a big hug when it's needed.

Denny offered a gourmet dinner at his home as part of the 2013 Imagine Awards. We had no idea what the outcome of his gesture would be, and were speechless and near tears as the auction for it climbed and climbed, reaching $7,100 in proceeds. Denny, his wife Dot, his daughter Laura (the chef!), and several friends worked hard to host a very successful evening, and made sure that Rauch was at the heart of it.

Thank you, again, for all you've done for us, Denny!
