Rauch, Inc.'s Employment Services department provides employment placement services to participants who have barriers to employment. Participants obtain and maintain employment through career explorations, job readiness, soft skills training, job development, follow along services, and individual job coaching. These services are designed in accordance with the individual's support needs and preferences. Our staff assists each participant in discovering and understanding vocational interests, values, temperaments, work-related behaviors, aptitudes, skills, physical capabilities, learning style, and training needs.

Employers benefit from hiring participants by having a talented pool of employees who are dedicated to working, training support for the employee, tax credits and more.

Our services emphasize the human elements of developing the workforce, seeing the whole person’s strengths, talents, abilities and life situation, and then matching them to the needs and requirements of businesses. Each participant served is paired with an Employment Consultant who can assist in addressing employment-related concerns and/or to help the participant further skills training. If desired, the Employment Consultant may remain on the jobsite until both the employer and participant are satisfied that job tasks can be independently performed. The advantage of this arrangement is that it provides an immediate, on site, one-to-one intervention resource and helps improve employee retention rates.

Rauch has a very successful placement record, finding and maintaining employment for participants at companies like Kroger, Goodwill, Walmart, Amazon, Lowe’s Distribution Center and more

Pre-ETS

Pre- Employment Transition Services or Pre-ETS helps students navigate towards independent living.  Our Pre-ETS team of coaches’ meet with students during the school year to help them prepare for life after high school through varies activities, discovery, learning opportunities, and connection with the community.  We also utilizes breaks from school to arrange guided tours of businesses to inform our students of what kinds of opportunities are available.

The Pre-ETS team focuses on 5 areas of service:

Job exploration

Pre-ETS Job Exploration Counseling is a core component that helps students with disabilities explore different career options and identify potential career paths that align with their interests and skills. This involves activities like discussing career options, learning about in-demand jobs, and taking interest assessments. The goal is to increase a student's motivation, expand their career horizons, and connect their education to future employment.

Work-based learning experiences

WBLEs are designed to provide students with disabilities hands-on experience in real work settings, helping them connect classroom learning with potential career paths. These experiences can include internships, job shadowing, and other activities that offer insight into specific industries and workplace expectations.

Counseling on opportunities for enrollment in post-secondary education

Learning about educational opportunities refers to the services provided to students with disabilities, typically aged 14-21, to help them explore and prepare for postsecondary education or training programs. These services focus on providing information and support to help students make informed decisions about their future educational paths and understand the resources available to them.

Workplace readiness

Workplace readiness training refers to a component of Pre-ETS focused on developing essential skills and behaviors necessary for successful entry into the workforce. It includes training on "soft skills," such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, as well as independent living skills like time management and financial literacy. The goal is to equip students with the tools they need to navigate the workplace and transition to employment or further education.

Instruction in Self-Advocacy

Training on self-advocacy will develop the ability of a student to effectively communicate their needs, interests, and desires, and to advocate for themselves in various settings. It involves learning to express oneself clearly, negotiate, and assert one's needs, particularly in the context of education, employment, and community participation.
